OLiver wins his first RES CC at Border Union Ch Show
OLIVER WINS BEST IN SHOW - SCOTTISH BORDER COLLIE CLUB OPEN SHOW!!!!!
Ive 2 new boys here!! we'd like to welcome and introduce Oliver, all the way from Australia, from the Etherial kennel of Sam and Michael Goulding, in Victoria. Oliver, or to give him his Sunday name, Etherial Up in Lights, will be owned in partnership with his breeders, and will be campaigned over here during the next few years. We'd very much like to thank Sam and Michael for this great opportunity.

and we'd like to introduce Lad, Borderbay Lord of the Clouds, co-owned with Selene and Daniele from Borderbay kennels in Italy, he was shown as a puppy by Selene, and was unbeaten in his classes. Lad has settled in very well too, has a wonderful temperament but has now dropped his coat for his junior moult so will be back in the ring when he grows some coat. Thanks very much to all at Borderbay for this opportunity Shine won the Res CC at WELKS and again the next week at Birmingham, congrats to her sister tonkory Lightning Strikes Jaydean, who recently gained her titile. Cruise's first Sh Ch daughter, and his 4th CC winner this year so far.

We had a very successful Crufts, with Liam winning Limit dog, Charm 2nd Puppy Bitch, Shilo 3rd Junior Bitch, Tipsy 2nd in Yearling B, Geo 2nd Puppy Dog, and Cruise made the final cut in Open Dog. Also 1-4 places in Puppy bitch were either bred or owned by Locheil 
Congrats too, to Geoff and Fiona Paton on winning Mid Limit B with Isla, Locheil Fantasy Finnish at Willianways, and also to the many other Locheils in the placings.
I was very proud!!!

Cruise is confirmed Our Dogs Top Sire in the breed for the second year running! 
Drift, Locheil Stand and Deliver at Sandmont, was BPIS at North West BC Open Show, Congratulations Jackie!
Delighted to announce that we had gonioscopies done on 5 adults today and all passed no problems. So Sh Ch Rosara Va Va Voom at Locheil, Sh Ch Pikkupaimenen Great Pretender at Locheil (imp), Pikkupaimenen Forget Me not at Locheil (imp), Locheil Sheer Delight and Locheil Zsa Zsa Zoom (a.i.) are all normal for glaucoma. Next 5 will be done next month.
Finn (Locheil Finnishing First) is settling really well in his new home; his HTM training is going really well and he has just hip scored HD-A so all good news for Emese and Judit

Our dearly missed Falcor, in Hungary got two prizes and became 'Junior and Adult Club Star' Congratulations Emese and Judit!! so sad Falcor left us much too early..........
Also Skye, his sister got one prize.
Lots of Locheils in the cards at Midland Border Collie Club Champ Show, too many to mention them all! 
Noteably...4 of the 5 young ladies in the line up for Puppy Bitch were Cruise daughters. Tipsy (L. Funny Face) won Yearling Bitch, Vicki won Graduate with Inca (L. Miss Independant at Ruffs), Jenny won Open Bitch with Fern (L. Really and Truly for Croxlea) and Liam won Limit dog. Jenny and Fern also went on to win the Reserve CC! 
We also entered two teams in the KC Breeders Competition and the girls won it!

very sadly, I had to have Cuil (Corinlea Cuilean from Locheil) put to sleep when we got home, the suspected tumour in her bladder had just taken too much from her and we didn't want her suffering any further.

Lyndsay and Wish (Locheil Special Wish for Borderpride) win Puppy Bitch at Manchester Champ show.
Also, both the dog and bitch CC's at Manchester were taken by Cruise progeny 
At Boston and District Geo came 4th in MPD, Cruise was 2nd in Open Dog and took the reserve CC. Jenny won PB with Chloe, Locheil Moments Like this for Croxlea and Charm was 4th, Chloe was also 2nd in Graduate and Sharon got the VHC with Sassy, Locheil Luck of the Irish. Mercy was VHC in Limit Bitch.

Not a bad day out

...as did Susi Kaurek in Austria with Comic, Locheil Walk Like a Man who won Junior dog, Best of Breed and was shorlisted in Group 1 (this is a huge group in the FCI system!) at Tulln...this now also makes him an Austrian Junior Champion!
